Steve Bannon: 'Demonic Democrats Will Be Imprisoned'

The grotesque Steve Bannon once again took to his airwaves to preach his twisted gospel of fascist hate, to his addicted and brain raddled listeners. Bannon, the on-again-off-again friend of disgraced former President Donald Trump is apparently now on again with the rapist in chief and promises to play a significant role in a hypothetical second Trump term. 

According to Bannon, Trump's second term will be one focused on vengeance and rage, to rid American and the world of the 'demonic democrats.' Bannon promised that this time Trump will imprison political opponents, not for any actual crimes committed, but simply for their worldview and political beliefs. 

Even after we've won, the accountability project is gonna start and it's gonna be thorough this time. It's gonna be - they're gonna be in prison - yes prison.

Imprisonment for thought crimes is as Orwellian as it gets. Such a proposition is a Putin-styled campaign meant to not only invoke fear in political rivals, but to clear the playing field of opposition in order to insure a forever fascist dictatorship in the United States. It would be dangerous to assume Bannon is bluffing. He represents the same movement that attempted to violently overthrow the American government via the January 6th insurrection. Say what you will about Bannon as a human being and much is to be said about his complete and total depravity, but he has dedicated his life to spreading fascism throughout the world. Replacing American democratic principles with a Russian style government where political opponents mysteriously fall out of windows, would be his crowning achievement. We need to take Bannon seriously and consider what he says as a legitimate threat. Voters should never forget that as ridiculous as the MAGA movement is, it is also a terribly insidious movement that seeks to destroy America along with our most dearly held democratic institutions. 

The only way to defeat fascism is to publicly repudiate it in humiliating fashion at the ballot box. The 2024 presidential election falls on Tuesday, November 5th and it will be the most consequential election in history, one in which voters will decide whether American is worth keeping.
