Donald Trump's Top-Secret Plan to Give Ukraine to Russia

Trump, the puppet, and Putin, the puppet master.
Puppet and puppet master.

King of Click-Bait and former President Donald Trump is in the news for a variety of reasons, most of them bizarre and buzzworthy, like a YouTube prank artist pulling off one self-humiliating stunt after the next. Of course, none of this is becoming of a former president, but that's all part of the ruse. Like a magic act performed by a skilled magician, if you focus on Trump falling asleep in the courtroom, maybe you won't focus on what he's actually in the courtroom for. Focusing on all the ridiculous things Trump does keeps us from seeing the nefarious ways he seeks to undermine democracy and the American way of life.

Take Ukraine for example. After Russia's illegal invasion in 2022, Ukraine has become a stronghold for democracy around the world. For Western democracies like the United States, Ukraine has offered a unique opportunity to fight the world's largest threat to democracy (Russia) without losing American lives. Instead of sending American troops to die in Russia's invasion, the United States has sent funding and weaponry to Ukraine, who valiantly fight for their country and freedom. Russia has been weakened in ways no one could ever have imagined when the invasion began, which is fantastic news for democracy both in America and abroad.

But what does the former president think about all of this and Ukraine in particular? According to former advisor Fiona Hill, Trump made his opinion on Ukraine very clear,

"Trump made it very clear that he thought, you know, that Ukraine, and certainly Crimea, must be part of Russia. He really could not get his head around the idea that Ukraine was an independent state."

Trump, long accused of being a Russian asset, probably not so surprisingly has near identical views on Ukraine as Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Putin recently declared that parts of occupied Ukraine would be considered a "new Russia," and the former president thinks that's just wonderful.

Trump, who was impeached for a second time after trying to blackmail Ukraine into interfering in the 2020 elections, does have a plan when it comes to Ukraine. It's not like he's trying to get back into the White House with no clue after all. It's not like he's the same person he was in 1987, when after his first trip to Moscow, he spent $100,000 to take ads out in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Boston Globe, all to criticize President Ronald Reagan and NATO. He's matured with age, right? Not a chance.

According to a Trump insider, the former president has a top-secret plan to end the Russian/Ukraine War: complete surrender. According to this insider Trump actually believes that, "People in parts of Ukraine would be OK with being part of Russia." So what's Trump's intention? Like presidents before him, will he stand up to authoritarian regimed to protect democracy both in the United States and abroad? No, to the contrary his plan is capitulate completely to one Vladmir Putin.

This must be why Trump is being hailed on Russian state television, as the "destroyer of America." According to Dean of World Politics at Moscow University, Andrey Sidorov,

"Trump is coming, think of him as you will. I always saw him and still see him as destroyer of America. And this is a good thing. Of course we need people like that."

Should it be any surprise that Trump is what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accurately described as a "Putin Puppet?" When Russia began its illegal invasion of Ukraine, Trump could hardly contain his excitement

"I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, 'This is genius.' Putin declares a big portion of Ukraine....as independent. Oh, that's wonderful. He used the word 'independent,' and 'we're gonna go in and we're gonna help keep peace.' You gotta say that's pretty savvy."

So, what kind of person spends $100,000 to criticize his own country and NATO peace-keeping missions while celebrating an anti-democracy dictator invading a free Ukraine? The kind that's the GOP front runner for President of the United States, and is dangerously close to winning reelection on his way to occupying the White House once again.
