Moscow Marge Embarrassed Again

Marjorie Taylor Greene never lets facts get in the way of being on Russia's side.

The Embarrassment from Georgia

Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor-Greene has had her fair share of embarrassing moments. From Jewish space lasers to dressing like a MAGA cultist at the 2024 State of the Union to warning Americans about God's judgment over an eclipse, Taylor-Greene has fully embraced the bizarre right-wing Russian movement to overthrow American democracy.

Recently, the embattled congresswoman said this about the January 6th insurrection,

"If I had it my way, we would have been successful on January 6, and Joe Biden wouldn't be President."

Notice the "we" in the quote, which shouldn't be surprising to see MTG throw herself in with the insurrectionist lot. MTG has advocated for the release of the January 6th prisoners who attempted to overthrow the American government, in the wake of President Biden's election. Greene has called these same insurrectionists "great patriots" and has made visits to them in prison, all while promoting the idea that the insurrection was somehow a great act of patriotism, rather than one of the vilest things to ever happen on American soil.

Greene and the Rabbi

Greene isn't much of a foreign policy expert either. It's doubtful that she could even find Ukraine on a map, however that didn't stop the pro-insurrection congresswoman from making some bold claims about Ukraine. As her Republican counterparts were busy discussing a desperately needed Ukrainian aid bill, like her hero Donald Trump, MTG was busy doing what she does best: tweeting lies. The lies Greene and her MAGA ilk tweet, however are often in line with Kremlin talking points, like this one:

"It's antisemitic to make Israeli aid contingent on funding Ukrainian Nazis. These should be separate bills."

The disproven lie of Ukraine being a Nazi country comes directly from Vladimir Putin, but that doesn't stop Greene from spreading such malicious nonsense. To the contrary, MTG has been one of its chief proponents. Despite the fact that Ukraine is led by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is Jewish, the Russian propaganda keeps spinning and that's where Rabbi Moshe Azman comes in. Azman, the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, who once served in the IDF, helping Russian-Jewish immigrants adjust to life in Israel, responded directly to MTG's lie,

"There are no Nazis in Ukraine, just Russian invaders. Russia is targeting Christians in occupied Ukraine. The Russian army has destroyed over 400 Baptist Churches."

There are no Nazis in Ukraine? Just like there are no Jewish space lasers, Ukraine is not a Nazi country, but a Westernized European nation set to soon be welcomed into NATO. What about the Baptists Churches? Weren't the Ukrainians destroying Russian churches? Or so says Putin.

Russia's War on Christianity

The truth is Russia, a country with a sordid history of torturing and murdering Christians, has been targeting Ukrainian churches since the invasion began early in 2022. In May of 2022, the Svyatogorsk Lavra Monastery was targeted, resulting in the death of one nun and three monks. A 72 year old Orthodox priest was shot in the head and left for dead. Another Ukrainian priest was kidnapped and tortured to death in Kalanchak. Jesus Christ Church in Kupyansk was reduced to rubble after being targeted by Russian soldiers, killing Pastor Yuri Klymko only minutes after finishing service. In fact, since the invasion began, Russia has destroyed more than 660 churches, and killed more than 30 Ukrainian priests with 20 more still missing.

None of these facts kept Marjorie Taylor Greene from appearing on MAGA propaganda networks to declare,

"This is a war on Christianity. The Ukrainian government is attacking Christians. The Ukrainian government is executing priests. Russia is not doing that. They're not attacking Christianity. As a matter of fact, they seem to be protecting it."

Russian Asset

This would all be meaningless, if MTG was just some crazy lady preaching her MAGA nonsense at the Thanksgiving dinner table, but she is much more than that. Greene is an American congresswoman, elected to represent the state of Georgia, holding a position of influence and weight. The lies she spreads have earned her a fitting nickname from Republican Representative Ken Buck, 'Moscow Marjorie,' for her near constant regurgitation of Russian talking points. Greene's bizarre support of Russian conspiracies embolden America's enemies and threaten democracy around the world. Here's what Russian media is saying about their new favorite congresswoman,

"Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is proposing for the U.S. to withdraw from NATO. She believes that Americans should help Putin win."

This goes well beyond some wacko spouting off bizarre conspiracy theories in an echo chamber. This is a potential Vice Presidential candidate who is calling for America to withdraw from NATO and for a national divorce. Ah, yes, the national divorce. Another one of Putin's political goals is to push the United States into a Civil War and end the Union that was purchased by the blood of 600,000 deceases soldiers in the Civil War. Greene contends

"We need a divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat's traitorous America Last policies, we are done."

This all leads to the question: Just who is Greene talking to and what danger will her treacherous ideas lead to for the American people?

Georgia Can Do Better

Frankly, Georgia can do better. The same state that voted for Joe Biden in 2020 and sent both Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to the U.S. Senate has proven it can do better. Marjorie Taylor Greene is up for re-election in 2024, and frankly Georgia must do better.
